memories float in on a breeze
but i'm currently caught in a gale
i try to sleep and get blown off my feet
i'm not sure that i'm very well
a few hours ago
was out drinking somewhere i didn't know
so i stopped and followed myself home
got lost on the way
like i seemed to do every other day
the journey was clumsy and slow
i'm never alone
haunted by everyone that i've ever known
the casualty list will grow and grow
and over the years
the illusions hopefully will disappear
but i'm banned from casting the first stone
the pouring rain derailed my train
of thought and my head starts to swell
and open my eyes to look up at the sky
as i wait for my sunny spell
